The “Civilian Alliance” is a great entry point for people interested in exploring Civil War reenacting, whether day-tripping, modern camping or jumping in with a period set-up. It’s also a good option for families while a family member explores the various military reenacting possibilities.
Please send the Civilian Advocate an email with any questions you might have or if you’d just like to stop by an event and check it out from the living historian side.

The Townfolk is a Union Civilian Unit that strives to portray tradesmen and other civilian impressions of the 1860's in a way that helps the public experience the era. Our camp stays 19th century during the entire encampment, including before and after public hours, giving our members and opportunity to get comfortable in their personas.
