Thank you for your interest in participating with Northwest Civil War Council. Here you will find information on becoming a member.
SOME KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER:
- Go to the correct form-single adult (age 18 and older) use the Individual Adult Form, for minors wishing to participate but not the rest of the family use the Individual Minor Form and for Families (2 adults, or 1-2 adults and dependent children) use the Family Membership Form.
- Fill out the correct form completely and click submit at the end of the page. The payment page will load automatically. Enter your payment info and click finish. That will submit the form and proof of payment to the Membership Coordinator.
- After payment and forms are submitted, the Membership Coordinator will verify with the unit you have listed that they accept you as a member of the unit, add you to the NCWC database and your unit's roster, and create your membership card(s). At that point, your membership cards will be emailed to you. You can choose whether to print your card(s) or simply have them available to view on your cell phone.
SOME KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER:
- All memberships must be in by the deadline set by the Membership Coordinator prior to each event. This provides the Coordinator time to process your membership application, prepare event cards, print unit rosters, assemble battalion binders, and (as the location dictates) print parking passes.
- Everyone, regardless of age, must have a membership with the NCWC to participate.
- You may also submit forms via U.S. mail. Print out the correct form, fill it out, and mail it (along with a check for the membership dues) to the unit commander of the unit you wish to join. They will sign on the approval line and then send it to the Membership Coordinator, who will scan the form and save it as a PDF before recycling the paper form. Please note that this takes much, much longer, so plan accordingly.
- Family Memberships are for 2 adults or 1-2 adults and their dependent children living at the same address. See the Family Membership form for more details (for exceptions, please just ask the Membership Coordinator).
- If you have any questions please ask the Membership Coordinator.
